Tri-State Oral & Facial Surgery Reviews
I highly recommend if you need a tooth extracted. I have Trigeminal neuralgia ‘a chronic facial pain within the nerves’ they reacted with care. The staff are friendly. The environment is clean and comfortable.
Went for wisdom tooth removal, went very smoothly. Professional, quick, easy.
Ihad a tooth pulled from him his staff was amazing he was to I was there maybe a hour if that and I was first time patient and that's with paper work and all I would highly recommend If I ever need anything else done he is my go to for sure
I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Couchot and his staff! They make you feel at ease, professional top notch from beginning to end. So highly recommended! I would not go anywhere else. I have been going there since 2022.
I had a surgical extraction today. This is the best experience I have had at a dental office. All of the staff were professional and nice and answered all of my questions and concerns. After reading other reviews, I did not experience the "no bedside manner" reported of Dr. Couchot, but he IS an excellent surgeon. There is no aspect of the care I received that I could say anything negative about. Highly recommend!

Am I a Candidate for Facial Trauma Treatment?
Facial injuries often involve more than what is immediately visible. Damage to the jaw, facial bones, teeth, or surrounding soft tissues can affect everything from eating and speaking to breathing and facial symmetry, making prompt evaluation especially important. Whether your injury occurred during sports, a fall, a vehicle accident, or another unexpected event, our team will assess the full extent of your injuries and develop a treatment plan focused on restoring both function and appearance. You may be a candidate for facial trauma treatment if you:
- Have sustained a facial injury or fracture
- Notice changes in your bite or jaw alignment
- Experience facial swelling, bruising, or persistent pain
- Have difficulty opening or closing your mouth
- Have broken, displaced, or missing teeth after an injury
- Suspect a jaw or facial bone fracture
- Need treatment following a sports or work-related accident
- Require specialized oral and maxillofacial surgical care
Because facial trauma can involve multiple structures at once, early diagnosis and treatment are often key to achieving the best possible outcome. Our team will determine the most appropriate treatment approach based on the severity of your injuries, overall health, and long-term functional goals.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is surgery necessary for facial trauma?
Surgery becomes necessary when injuries involve displaced fractures, compromised jaw alignment, structural instability, or damage that affects breathing, vision, or oral function. During treatment planning for facial trauma surgery in Ashland, KY, imaging and clinical evaluation guide the decision-making process. The surgical team focuses on restoring facial balance, stabilizing fractures, and protecting surrounding nerves and tissues. At Tri-State Oral & Facial Surgery, our team-based care model ensures that patients receive comprehensive evaluation and precise surgical management when treating complex facial injuries and jaw fractures.
How are facial fractures diagnosed and stabilized?
Accurate diagnosis is critical when managing facial fractures, including injuries to the cheekbones, nasal bones, eye sockets, or upper jaw. Digital X-rays and 3D imaging help identify the precise location and severity of fractures. Once evaluated, the surgeon repositions the bones to their natural alignment and secures them using specialized fixation techniques. Stabilizing these fractures supports proper healing and helps preserve facial contours. Our team provides coordinated care for patients experiencing facial injury treatment in Ashland, KY, ensuring both function and aesthetics are carefully addressed.
What happens if multiple facial bones are fractured?
Complex injuries involving multiple fractures require a coordinated surgical plan to restore facial balance and function. During treatment, each fracture site is carefully assessed, repositioned, and stabilized in a sequence that reestablishes proper alignment. Restoring the framework of the face helps maintain airway stability, bite alignment, and facial symmetry. At Tri-State Oral & Facial Surgery, our team is experienced in managing complex oral and maxillofacial trauma cases, using detailed imaging and precise surgical techniques to support safe and effective outcomes.
