Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training beyond the general dentistry degree. In addition, Dr. Couchot has earned a Doctorate of Medicine as well as certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Couchot manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions.
Dr. Couchot practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise in dental implant surgery, dentoalveolar surgery/wisdom tooth removal, orthognathic/corrective jaw surgery, and trauma and reconstructive surgery, involving advanced bone graft techniques. In addition, he provides advance forms of pain/anxiety control and I.V. sedation within our state-of-the-art office setting.
